NEW YORK – April 29, 2025 – iHeartPodcasts, the No. 1 podcast publisher globally according to , today announced the first of four scripted audio series co-produced with Thoroughbred Studios – “BUZZ.” Starring legendary actor John Lithgow (“Conclave”) as narrator and voice of famed astronaut Buzz Aldrin as he reflects on his life and career, and penned by “24” writer Stephen Kronish, the limited series is a riveting human drama with Buzz Aldrin at its core, examining the ups and downs of the Apollo 11 mission. Throughout the series, listeners will follow along as Buzz faces his own frailties, overcomes demons he inherited through no fault of his own, repairs relationships and triumphs over addiction. Premiering May 6, the 11-episode podcast pierces the layers of a saga that’s been shrouded in myth for over 50 years. It triumphs technology and strikes at the heart of what it means to be human. Above all, it’s a thriller whose intensity continues to ratchet upward even though its conclusions are as indisputable as the speed of light. Listeners are compelled to take the ride because, whether they’re flying into the uncharted territory of space or delving into the uncertain landscape of their own lives, it’s not the ending that counts. The two-year development deal between iHeartPodcasts and Thoroughbred Studios, announced in 2024, will include the development and co-production of a minimum four new podcasts that will examine and delve into monumental American historical events of the last century.
